EXCELLENT debate on fit vs fat in the NYT today: Women, Weight, and Wellness. I personally think Erika Kendall summed it up with this quote above. What do you think—can you have health at EVERY size? With predictions that 42% of Americans will be obese by 2030 (we are at 36% right now), this is an issue we have to face.

Good fats = happy jojo. Monounsaturateds from the avocado and omega-3s from the salmon salad. Plus some jalapeno cornbread on the side…I don’t know what to call this meal but I think I love it.
NYTimes: “Brown Fat, Triggered by Cold or Exercise, May Yield a Key to Weight Control”
…so if brown fat burns calories when it is triggered by cold or exercise…then exercising IN the cold is the solution to the obesity epidemic! boom. you’re welcome.
(might be a tough sell, seeing as we can’t even get people to exercise in the comfort of a gym, or when the weather is WARM)
