YESSSSS.
Your score: 23

Rise and shine. You tend to be a morning person and like to rise relatively early and not stay up too late. You don’t cope very well when your sleep pattern is disrupted.
This is right one for me (especially that last sentence, as hubby can attest to…) I’m not exactly bouncing off the walls in the morning, and god forbid I don’t get my coffee, but I do like to get up and about even on the weekends. I’m never one to sleep in really late. How did you score??
A few of my favorite things.
So pretty—birthday mug from Anthropology
It’s almost st paddys day! That means tomorrow you can have a little special something in your morning (and/or afternoon…and/or evening) coffee.
How to do it right:
Woke up exhausted this morning…power protein breakfast helped to get me going. Whole wheat english muffin with natural peanut butter and a drizzle of honey; hard-boiled egg; coffee with cinnamon. Goal was to prevent a big blood sugar spike that would cause me to really crash in a couple hours…higher protein & lower carb is the obvious answer, but did you know cinnamon also helps keep blood sugar down? True story.

Most people know to look for BPA-free water bottles these days, but what about household appliances?? Seems like everyone and their mother has a Keurig these days, which led me to wonder whether they are BPA-free—there is boiling hot water getting forced through those little plastic k-cups, so I wasn’t expecting good news, but guess what? I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only are the k-cups BPA- free, but all water reservoirs in machines made after January 2010 are free of BPA as well. Unfortunately the k-cups aren’t recyclable, but they do make a reusable filter that you can put your own coffee in. Perfect!

BPA has been declared a toxic chemical in Canada, and the EU has banned its use in baby bottles. BPA mimics estrogen in the body, so it interferes with normal hormone function—especially of concern in fetuses, infants, and children. It is still commonly found in the US in many many plastic products, as well as the lining of canned foods.
my standard 6am pre-work breakfast. I can make this in under 7 minutes while simultaneously packing my lunch, so “not enough time” is not an excuse to skip breakfast! I would never make it past 10am if I just ate cereal, gotta have some protein + fat in the am.
